I, the above listed participant, am volunteering to assist and participate in the set-up, operations and supervision of the activities associated with the Rising Sun Chamber of Commerce SunFest event to be held on Saturday, June 7, 2025, if any.

*Volunteers between the ages 12 and 15 must be accompanied by a chaperone.

I further understand:

1. That my participation is voluntary and includes no financial compensation for my participation;

and

2. That my general role is to provide assistance with proper organization and management of the general public during this event, and will essentially be serving as a chaperone at various activity areas and will help to ensure the safety of all participants during the event;

3. That I am aware of the risks and hazards related to my participation in this event related to:

a. Assisting with the organization of people into lines to access the various inflatables or

activity areas; and/or

b. Assisting small children into the inflatables or activity areas; and/or

c. Moving of equipment, tables, cones, barricades, pumpkins, and other miscellaneous

items associated with the event; and

4. That I will follow any rules and direction and if necessary, ask questions in order to adequately understand my role and responsibilities; to ensure safety for all participants and to ensure that any rules and regulations associated with this event are followed and adhered to, such as but not limited to:

a. Number of participants permitted in any activity area at any time; and

b. Acceptable behavior of any participant in an activity area; and

c. Instructions on what to do in an emergency, etc.
