Class Information: Instructional Ride for Safe Cycling
This class is an abridged version of the Traffic Skills 101 (TS 101)/Smart Cycling class. During an Instructional Ride, participants will actively learn safe riding practices. The class is two hours long and spent mostly on the bike. In this class you will learn: Bike Basics * Rules of the Road * Bike Safety Practices * For this class, participants are required to know how to ride a bike and must bring their own bicycle. Safe Cyling- Traffic Skills 101
This curriculum is designed by The League of American Bicyclists, a national nonprofit that promotes safe cycling. TS 101 was developed to increase your knowledge and expertise in the art and science of bicycling in traffic. This class is also the first step to becoming a League Certified Instructor (LCI). The course is a total of 9 hours, 4 hours of classroom instruction and 5 hours of bike-on instruction. In this class you will learn: Bicycle Basics * Rules of the Road * Bicycle handling and safety skills and maneuvers * Requirement(s): For this class, participants are required to know how to ride a bike and must bring their own bicycle. Cost: $30/ $20
