We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help execute this year's T.O. Webfest!
As Canada’s premiere digital content festival this multi-day festival offers engaging panels and workshops, special events, awards, public web series screenings, and more!
We are looking to fill a variety of roles for the event based on experience and preference:
Welcome Team: Stand in the lobby and direct guests to the 4th floor of the building. (Rotating position for all volunteers)
Screening Room Team: 1 technical lead (to manage getting video files loaded on a laptop for each of the screening blocks. 1 person to stand at the door and check people's passes as they come in (this is a rotating position).
CONNECT Team (Day 1 only for 1.5 hours): This is a 1-on-1 speed dating type of event. Responsibilities include assist with signing people in and ringing the bell when 5 minutes are done for each meeting round.
Media Room: Ensure that press arrive and sign in, let press know where they are assigned to sit/stand for their interviews. Sign in the creators and show them where to go. Keep track of the time so that interviews don't run overtime.
Ticket/Registration Team: Welcome guests with a smile during the registration period. Help sign people in and give them their welcome bags. Know the layout of the venue and where everything is so that if people ask, you can direct them.
Red Carpet Team (Day 2 only): Keep track of the list of invited influencers and make sure they arrive for their interview time and switch times around if people arrive late/early. Help coordinate the press and their setup on the red carpet.
Presenter/Guest Coordinating Team: Working in tandem with the Event Coordinator as well as the Green Room team to make sure that guests arrive on time. If anyone is late to give them a call directly for an ETA. You will meet guests at the entrance of the elevators and guide them to the green room. You should know the layout of the venue so that you can direct people as needed. Presenters should all arrive during the cocktail hour so they can wait in the green room before the gala starts.
Green Room Team: Keep track of the arrival times for all guests (speakers and presenters). Make sure that the room is stocked with enough drinks and snacks; if it runs low.
Swing: Assisting in other needed areas during the event (i.e.: craft, room setup, restocking things, cleaning & organizing rooms, etc.)
