1) Ethics Manual Cards
Within 15 calendar days of the effective date of employment or beginning of their term of service, all City officers and employees must receive a copy of the City's ethics manual
. The ethics manuals, each designed for a specific category of City officials, are available electronically at ethics.pub/manuals: The Board is now providing printed QR cards to City departments and agencies to connect workers with the appropriate ethics manual. We encourage you to make these QR cards part of your onboarding or orientation materials. Use the form below to request QR cards for your City office.
2) Ethics Training Cards
Beginning in 2025, all City officers and employees must attend ethics training within 90 calendar days of their
effective date of employment or beginning of their term of service, AS WELL AS every 5 years* thereafter until their time with the City is concluded. *Note that elected City officials, board & commission members, and some high-level officials must be trained every year.
For existing City workers, the rollout of this new five-year training mandate is based upon start year with the City, as follows:
- Group A: years ending in 0 & 5 must get trained in 2025 + every year thereafter ending in 0 & 5
- Group B: years ending in 1 & 6 must get trained in 2026 + every year thereafter ending in 1 & 6
- Group C: years ending in 2 & 7 must get trained in 2027 + every year thereafter ending in 2 & 7
- Group D: years ending in 3 & 8 must get trained in 2028 + every year thereafter ending in 3 & 8
- Group E: years ending in 4 & 9 must get trained in 2029 + every year thereafter ending in 4 & 9
