Skyline High PTSA Grant Request 2021-2022
The Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) of Skyline High School in Oakland offers grants to those Skyline High School employees whose grant applications meet the stated criteria. Grants are awarded at the discretion of the members of the PTSA.
PURPOSE OF SKYLINE GRANT PROGRAM:
The purpose of the Grant Program is to support and enhance the learning experience, improve climate and build a sense of community at Skyline High School. The Program will provide financial assistance to those educational experiences that support the mission and WASC goals of Skyline to provide all students with a supportive environment and rigorous curriculum through which they develop their academic skills, creative talents and civic values.
FUNDING CRITERIA AND PRINCIPLES:
• PTSA funds should benefit the largest possible number of students within the scope of the proposed grant.
• Grants are made for projects, equipment or supplies not traditionally funded by the school district.
• Applicants are encouraged to explore other sources of funding: School Site, Department, fundraising, outside grants.
• Coaches are requested to have their applications co-signed by the Athletic Director.
• Salaries or wages may not be included in a grant application.
