This form is required of all TEM work requested for the UTEP JEOL JEM 3200FS microscope and for microscopist assistance.

We ask that users purchase their own grids See the resources page for recommendations.
Users must prepare their own samples in preparation for TEM (refer to literature for well established protocols)

Data collection on a sample takes a minimum of 1-2 hours per sample. Therefore, we will accept requests that require data on only 1-2 samples.
TEM should be requested only after the sample has been analyzed by other techniques and it is confirmed that your sample is what you think it is. TEM should be used only as a final confirmation of what you have.
