Welcome!

We are glad you are interested in applying for the first ever EMPOWER pre-conference workshop. The target group for this workshop is post-PhD early career and mid-career researchers in health psychology, who hold a PhD degree and have an interest in writing a grant proposal.

The topic this year will be Developing and Writing for Grants, with input from experts Robert West, Eline Smit, Susan Michie, Falko Sniehotta, Benjamin Schüz, Sarah Stutterheim, Emely de Vet, and James Green.

The workshop will include:

• Presentations from senior academics on how they generate ideas for grant projects

• A panel discussion on grant concept development

• Presentations from senior academics on how the write and apply for grants

• A panel discussion on how senior academics write and apply for grants, and what they look for as grant reviewers in a good application

• Dedicated working time for next years EHPS Innovator Grants

Timing

The workshop will run from 9.00 to 14.30 on the 26th of August, ending in time for participants to get to the first official conference sessions.

We will also have a social event on the 25th of August, including dinner, drinks and networking (self-funded).

Signing Up

The cost to participate is €100. Deadlines and information related to payment will be available after acceptance.
