The Armed Man: Join our massed choir and sing to remember the 100th anniversary of the end of WWI
Sydney University students and staff who participated in World War I are to be remembered with the performance of Karl Jenkins’ well-loved concert work

‘The Armed Man: Mass for Peace’
Saturday 3 November 2018 at 7pm
Great Hall, Sydney University.

Presented by Sydney University Symphony Orchestra (SUSO) and supported by the Chancellor’s Committee this concert is a wonderful opportunity to sing in a massed choir with SUSO in the Great Hall under the baton of Luke Spicer.

Various dignitaries of the University, as well as the general public will attend the concert, and we are aiming for this to be a featured event in the University’s calendar, with roughly 600 people in attendance. The performance will also feature Shostakovich Cello Concerto No.1 in Eb Major featuring Kenichi Mizushima.

SUSO are assembling a massed choir to be a part of this monumental work and would love for you to be a part of it! There is no cost involved in being in the concert, and a vocal score will be provided. Our Chorus Master, Rachelle Elliott will run choral rehearsals to prepare the chorus for the final combined rehearsals with the orchestra.
