2024 Warrior Marching Band Sign-Up
Dear WHS Marching Band & Color Guard Members and Parents,

To all the veteran parents and students- Welcome back to the Wakefield Warrior Marching Band. To the new parents and students- Welcome to the tradition, excellence and pride of the Wakefield High School Warrior Marching Band.

The below form is the only way to sign up for 2024 Warrior Marching Band. Please fill out all fields and click “Submit”.

2024 Medical Form- Due on the 1st day of band camp- This is a fillable pdf form.

2024 Uniform Form - Needed for rookies and anyone who needs new shoes or white t-shirt


Please read through the information and dates carefully. Put the dates on your calendar now, as the attendance at all rehearsals of every member is essential and MANDATORY for the success of the band. With the school construction beginning we are already losing rehearsal time - we need everything at rehearsal!

There is a required user fee for participation in marching band.  This fee ($175) is due to Mr. Bankert by Tuesday, August 27th.  Checks should be made out to "Wakefield High School".

Speaking of construction, for the first time the band will be going away to band camp to Camp Crescent Cove in Raymond, Maine from August 19-August 23. There will be more details to follow including multiple parent meetings. This will allow us to have a full band camp without losing huge amounts of field time during fall sports tryouts. It will also be a fun, safe way for us to bond as a band going into the 2024 season. Students will be responsible for $200 of the cost, with the check made out to "Wakefield Music Boosters".  This payment will be due on Monday, July 1 so we can let the camp know of the accurate number of students and staff attending. PLEASE reach out to me if this payment is an issue - money should NOT keep you from signing up for the band!

Becoming a member of the Warrior Marching Band requires commitment, hard work and a positive attitude on the part of every individual. The reward of membership in our organization is your association with many students who share your sense of camaraderie and friendship, opportunities for significant musical and personal growth, development of leadership skills and pride in belonging to a respected musical and performance ensemble committed to excellence!

You must sign up by Friday, May 17th to guarantee your spot in the 2024 band.  An accurate count of students and instruments is essential to have the marching drill ready for the start of band camp.
