Are you paying too much for hydro?
Dear 100 Wellesley St East Tenants,

My name is Suze Morrison, and I'm your Member of Provincial Parliament. I have recently learned that many tenants in your building are concerned about the cost of their hydro bills. I share your concern and am trying to actively investigate this issue.

My office and I have begun conversations with the Ontario Energy Board as well as our local legal aid clinic to better understand what might be going on in your building and if all of your hydro charges are accurate. We are hoping you can help us figure out next steps by sharing some information through this form.

This survey may take you about 10-20 minutes to complete. We will ask questions about your contact information, your tenancy agreement with your landlord, and your hydro costs with Wyse. It might be helpful to have your past hydro bills handy when you fill out this form. We will also ask you about any additional costs you've incurred in an attempt to reduce your hydro bill (example: did you buy space heaters or weather stripping for your door to keep your unit warm.)

Our hope is that the information you provide will help us identify ways to get your hydro bills reduced. We cannot guarantee a bill reduction or refund, but we would like to do everything in our power to make sure you are not overpaying for your energy use.

We will NOT share any of this information with CAPREIT or with Wyse. You can not get in trouble with your landlord or with Wyse for speaking with us. We will take every precaution to protect your information and privacy.

We just want to make sure every tenant at 100 Wellesley is being treated fairly and not being over charged.
