We recommend some exposure to programming before taking Comp 170; this brief survey will help you and us review your programming background. Don't worry it too much, this is *not* a strict entry exam but just a way to get some idea where everyone is. Based on the information we can discuss the right way to go forward.

We want everyone to be successful in Comp170 and there is a lot to learn by the end of the semester. For some it may be better to take a different and easier introductory programming course before taking Comp170.
