Urban Agriculture Needs Assessment

The objective of this survey is to identify and assess the needs and challenges within urban agriculture communities that exist within Plymouth County, Massachusetts. Responses from this survey will support the Plymouth County Conservation District's Urban Agriculture Program and allow district staff to plan future programs that are beneficial to the urban agriculture community.

This assessment will be using the USDA’s National Agricultural Library’s definition of urban agriculture. Urban agriculture is described as “City and suburban agriculture [that] takes the form of backyard, roof-top and balcony gardening, community gardening in vacant lots and parks, roadside urban fringe agriculture and livestock grazing in open space.”  This definition includes any  livestock and crop production.
