MINI-DRAGGIELAND DRAG PAGEANT COMPETITION
The Mini-Draggieland Drag Pageant is the culminating event of the Mini-Draggieland workshop series: a low-stakes, student-only drag showcase designed to celebrate creativity, growth, and self-expression. Held on October 29 in Rudder Forum, this pageant invites workshop participants to take the stage and share the drag personas they’ve developed throughout the month.

This pageant is not about perfection. It’s about exploration, joy, and community. It’s a space for students to express themselves, try something new, and celebrate the art of drag in an affirming and accessible way.

Pageant Format:
• Q&A Segment: Each performer will briefly introduce their drag persona and respond to a fun, light-hearted question to showcase personality and presence.
• Talent Performance: Participants will perform a short lip sync, dance, or other creative act that reflects their persona.
• Judging & Celebration: A panel of local drag performers will serve as judges, offering affirming feedback and selecting a winner based on creativity, confidence, and crowd engagement.
There may be a monetary prize and other incentives for Mini-Draggieland participants!

Open to the Public:
While the workshops are student-only, the Mini-Draggieland Pageant is expected to be open to the public through ticketed entry. We welcome friends, allies, and community members to attend and support our student performers.

Extreme care will be taken to curate a respectful, celebratory, and safe environment for all attendees and performers. Audience members will be expected to uphold community guidelines that center inclusion, affirmation, and joy.
