Nomination: Adjunct Faculty of the Year
Purpose: OKCU’s Excellence in Teaching Award for Adjunct Faculty honors an adjunct faculty member whose teaching is deemed to be exemplary. The award is presented once every academic year.

1. Eligibility - a) All adjunct faculty members who are teaching in the current or previous academic year are eligible for this award; b) The award recipient is not eligible again for five years.

2. Criteria may include:
a) mastery of the subject matter;
b) enthusiasm and innovation in the teaching/learning process;
c) effectiveness in course design and delivery;
d) interest in students’ academic and personal progress;
e) ability to inspire students to think independently and to stimulate them to do creative work;
f) interaction with other faculty members and university employees in all teaching matters.

3. Procedure for Nomination - Any full-time faculty, staff, or administrator may nominate by this link. A student nomination survey will be sent to the student body at the beginning of the spring semester.
