Community Engagement Fund

Thank you for your interest in partnering with CommonSpirit Health. This form is intended for nonprofit and community-based organizations seeking support from one of our Mountain Region hospitals, serving communities across Colorado, Utah, and Kansas.

The Community Engagement Fund invests in programs, events, and initiatives that advance health equity and improve community well-being. We encourage requests that align with our mission, values, and identified health needs, but welcome all ideas that help us serve our communities.

Applications are reviewed quarterly—at the end of September, December, March, and June. Please submit your request at least 60 days prior to your funding need to allow adequate time for review and processing.

You may use this form to request support for multiple programs or events within the same calendar year, as long as each is clearly described.

If you are unsure which hospital your request best aligns with, please select “Unknown/Regional” and our team will ensure it is routed appropriately.

Thank you for your commitment to building healthier communities. We look forward to learning about your work and reviewing your request.

About Our Community Engagement Fund
Most requests supported through our Community Engagement Fund qualify for Community Benefit (CBISA) reporting, meaning they:

  • Provide a measurable benefit to the broader community, especially underserved or vulnerable populations; and

  • Requests should align with a need identified in the Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) and prioritized in the Community Health Implementation Strategy (CHIP).

    You can
[click here to view your hospital’s health priorities map]. These priorities represent the specific areas where our hospital has committed resources and partnerships to achieve measurable improvements in community health.

We welcome all requests that support our hospital’s mission, even if they do not meet CBISA criteria. If your request is not CBISA-eligible, we ask that it aligns with our mission and values and demonstrates a positive impact on the community. We encourage you to share any ideas or initiatives that help us fulfill our commitment to improving community health and well-being.

The following types of requests are generally not eligible:

  • Political campaigns or lobbying efforts

  • For-profit businesses or events benefiting private individuals

  • Golf tournaments

  • Requests benefiting only hospital employees

  • General operating support, salaries, or overhead not tied to a specific program

  • Requests primarily for hospital marketing/publicity

  • Direct financial assistance to individuals

  • Programs duplicating services we already provide as standard care

If you’re not sure whether your request is eligible, please feel free to submit your application, all requests are carefully considered and reviewed.
