ABOUT PEEK FEST:

Impulse Theatre’s Peek Fest is an annual festival for arts workers running November 1st to 22nd, 2020. This year the Festival is taking place online.

The festival offers an exciting new look at work-in-development from innovative creators and contributes to the development and growth of performing artists through residencies, showcases and workshops. Activities will be available to participants across Canada through digital platforms.

THE RESIDENCY PROGRAM:

The 2020 Residency Program is intended for live digital performances, and priority will be given to projects that integrate digital tools and consider the internet as a site of performance.

This year, residency artists will receive one-on-one mentorship from Residency Mentor Adrienne Wong, the Artistic Director of the Festival of Live Digital Art (folda.ca) and the Digital Architect & Co-Editor of SpiderWebShow Performance (spiderwebshow.ca). She brings insight on Creative Process, Administration & Producing, Translation of live performance into Digital format, Collaboration Across Distant and Conflict Resolution.

We offer residencies to up to three companies/collectives/individual artists. Adjudication is based on the submitted application as well as curation with other projects.

The residency is available to artists across Canada. Mentorship takes place between 8:30 and 3:30 MST. A 30 minute sneak-peek of this project will be presented on Saturday, November 21st to be scheduled based on the needs of the project.
