Final 2019 Jazz and Irish Gigs (and percussion)
Saturday Nov 30 6-7pm Jazz and Irish @ Ethical Christmas Market
South West Baptist Church, 244 Lyttelton Street (Event runs 4-7pm and has food trucks, and Christmas gifts to purchase which support Fair Trade, profits to a range of good causes and sustainability). Wear Blacks and Christmas decorations. Please arrive 5.30pm

Week 8

Monday Dec 2 Jazz and Irish 3.30pm-7pm.
NZEI Teacher Graduation
Jazz band, combo and Irish
Black uniform
3.30pm - 7pm at Burnside High
Formal ceremony followed by background music.
Please pick your students up at 7pm.

Sunday Dec 8 Christmas Parade (Jazz Band) 2pm
City Santa Parade
Blacks with Christmas decorations
Curtain sider covered Truck (large) 12 metres x 2.4
Please arrive between 12 and 1.30pm (Come early to decorate the truck!) - I will let you know the exact location when I find out. Madras Street will be closed to traffic.
2pm start from Madras/St Asaph Streets.
The parade will finish on the corner of Madras and Kilmore Streets. I will let you know the exact pick up place - and please be prepared to be in contact by phone or text if needed.
We could do with a couple of 'marshals' if any adults would like to walk beside the truck - you get to hear the same pieces over and over, do some fitness, wear a bright vest, ensure safety around the truck and look cheerful :)


Dec 8 Re-Percussion Concert @ Cashmere High 7pm (Marimba group) - Sound check at 5.30pm. We are the first group on in this concert so you can either go after you have played, or stay and hear other great percussionists and groups.

Week 9

Prizegivings – choir, orchestra, jazz Dec 9th-13th (during the day)

Dec 14 New Brighton Christmas Parade 10am-12noon
New Brighton Santa Parade
Blacks with Christmas and sunscreen.
Uncovered truck.
Arrive either 10am on Marine Parade or 9.00am at school to help load the truck.
10.30am-11.30am parade.
The parade finishes at the same place as it starts.

Week 10

Sunday December 15th (new gig offer)
Parklands Christmas in the Park (for Sarah McCaffery's mum who is organising entertainment)
15 minute performance performance (Event runs 4-7pm) Performance time TBC
Jody Keehan or Mr Brownbrooke will look after the band for this gig (if it happens) as Mrs Bell has another Christmas gig already committed to play at.
