ROBOTICON 2024 Volunteer Registration

ROBOTICON is volunteer powered, and we appreciate all the amazing time, expertise, kindness and support all our volunteers bring to the event. ROBOTICON 2024 will run throughout October, with different STEAM competitions, tournaments and scrimmages running at different times throughout University Mall and inside the Fab Lab itself. Volunteers receive a continental breakfast and/or lunch, depending on shifts worked, as well an event shirt and other perks. All events will be held at University Mall in Tampa this year. Volunteers must be aged 16+ . FCDI will sign off on student volunteer hours, as well.

An optional (although highly recommended) Volunteer Training Day will be held September 14 at AMRoC Fab Lab.

Sat Oct 5 – Combat tournament
Sat. Oct 12 – RADC event/scrimmage + Girl Powered Workshop
Sat. Oct 19 – VEX VRC tournament

Sat. Oct. 26 - FIRST Tech Challenge Build and Practice Day
Nov 2 & 3 – FIRST Robotics Competition Off-season

For the FRC event, we need set up and break down volunteers, as well as general competition volunteers throughout the weekend, including emcees and game announcers, queuers, pit admin, refs, field reset, and guest services.

For the VEX events, we need all of the above, as well as volunteers for judging.

For combat robotics, we need queuers, pit admin, safety and technical support, refs, and judges. Sign up Genius links will be sent to all registered volunteers prior to the event(s) so you can sign up for specific time slots for the events you would like to help out during.
