Join us for a discussion among practitioners, leaders and stakeholders from the education, labor, business, non-profit organization and government sectors about strategies and approaches to train workers for hard-to-fill jobs and to ensure that their skills meet industry demands. We'll also discuss what career pathways exist to help workers enter and succeed in these jobs and occupations and what we can do as a community to improve career pathway opportunities
This is one of four forums sponsored by the City of Los Angeles Workforce Development Board and the City of Los Angeles Economic and Workforce Development Department.
BACKGROUND ON THESE FORUMS
The forums are input sessions to help develop a regional workforce development strategy for future investments in career pathways, training and services at the network of WorkSource Centers/America's Job Centers of California, YouthSource Centers, and the HIRE LA's Youth Employment program. This regional workforce plan seeks to improve services and programs to better serve, train and assist workers in employment/careers and to assist employers find and hire qualified, trained and work-ready candidates.
