Street Team volunteers attend events in Waterloo Region (Cambridge, Kitchener, Waterloo, and the surrounding Townships) between June - September 2019, to collect feedback and ideas from event participants on how we can take action on climate change and engage the community in the development our long-term climate action plan (80% greenhouse gas reduction by 2050!).
The time commitment for this role will be approximately two hours of training and 12 hours of volunteering over the 4-month engagement period (approximately 4 shifts).
LOOKING FOR A LEADERSHIP ROLE? STREET TEAM SHIFT LEADER:
Our Street Team Shift Leaders are responsible for delegating tasks and providing support to the Street Team volunteers, communicating with the ClimateActionWR team if issues arise at events, and answering community members’ questions about ClimateActionWR and partner organizations
The time commitment for this role is approximately 3 hours of training and approximately 24 hours of volunteering over the 4-month engagement period (approximately 8 shifts).
