As a One World Market volunteer, you share our passion for social justice. You are at least 15 years old and available to volunteer for 4-8 hours each month (two to four 2-hour shifts). Schedules are flexible and increased hours are available during our peak holiday season. Due to the resources required for training new volunteers, we ask that you are able to commit to at least 6 months of service -- unfortunately, we are unable to take on volunteers just for the summer.
Our volunteers support our small staff by helping with customer service on the sales floor, bagging & gift-wrapping purchases, checking in & tagging orders, keeping the store clean & organized, and promoting fair trade via events & social media. After 6 months of volunteering, you will be given the opportunity to be trained on our cash register if ringing up customers is something you are interested in doing (this is optional and not required). We look forward to matching your interests with our fair trade mission!
Please complete and submit this form, and our Volunteer Coordinator, Amy, will follow up with you about your volunteer interest!
We know that volunteers have a wide variety of talents, passions, and reasons for volunteering. Therefore, while our greatest needs are for help processing orders and/or on the sales floor, we also do our best to accommodate volunteers' unique skills and interests. We look forward to learning more about you, and we hope the One World Market volunteer experience is a mutually rewarding match!
