EDA PERFORMANCE TEAM REGISTRATION
The EDA Performance Team provides a platform for dancers to engage in competitive groups and experience the joy and excitement that comes with dancing as a team.

As a member of the EDA Performance Team dancer will participate in three competitions. These competitions provide dancers with the chance to demonstrate their skills, creativity, and teamwork in front of judges, audiences, and other talented dancers.

Additionally, the EDA Performance Team may participate in workshops and masterclasses where dancers can learn from industry professionals, expand their dance vocabulary, and gain exposure to different dance styles and techniques. These workshops would be at an additional cost.

  • dancer must commit to the entire Performance Team season and all the groups they are chosen for.

Rehearsals

Dancers that register will be divided into 3 core groups mainly by age but also by ability. New this upcoming season dancers that have shown outstanding commitment and ability may be chosen by faculty for extra small groups. A small group will be chosen by faculty based on ability, attitude, and evening class attendance. Dancers could be paired with other dancers outside of their core group. Dancers could be chosen for more than one small group and it will be up to the parent to either accept or decline participation. However, if there ends up being less than 4 dancers in a small group it will be dissolved. We have chosen to offer small groups based on the results of our online survey and to offer driven dancers the opportunity to challenge themselves beyond their core groups.

All large groups/small groups will workshop choreography with faculty during the week of September 2-7th and any weekend in September that may be needed to complete choreography. Once the choreography is completed WEEKLY rehearsals will begin in October and go to end of February or beginning of March. If a group is needing more work after a competition is completed they could be called in to continue rehearsing, or if a group needs more rehearsal beyond the set hours, we could ask them to stay longer.

This season’s choreography week is :

September 2-7th and any weekend in September.
Dancers in the PT need to be available for the above times mentioned. A schedule will be sent closer to.
