AVAP Session Proposals

We invite you to propose ideas for a session you would like to present, facilitate or convene at next year's AVAP conference!

1. Session Title. If your session is selected, this is how it will be listed in the program. If you don't have a title finalized, you can put "working title" after the name.

2. Session Format. Please select which format you are proposing for your session from the following options.

Campfire with Q&A (1-3 speakers)

Panel Discussion with Q&A (1 facilitator and up to 4 panelists)

Presentation (1-3 speakers)

3. Intended Track. Please select all that apply.

Development/Fundraising

Engagement/Stewardship

4. Session Theme. Please select which area best represents your proposed session.

Organizational effectiveness (examples include collaboration, leadership development, communication, and community-building)

Advancement fundamentals (examples include core knowledge and fundraising fundamentals, engagement, stewardship, technology tools, etc.)

The future of veterinary advancement (examples include innovation, AI, and other emerging technologies and trends)

5. Session Description. Describe your session content and what participants will learn.

6. Session Presenters. Please list all presenters you plan to feature in your session, including speakers, facilitators, or panel participants. If you would like the committee to assist with helping to find you additional panelists for your presentation, please let us know here and we will be happy to assist.

7. Session Organizer. Please provide the primary contact (name, email, phone) for your proposed session who will be responsible for communicating with your session presenters. This can be one of the presenters, but doesn't have to be.

8. Session Speaker Bios. We realize these may need to be submitted later; however, if you have these available, please turn them in now. We are looking for 4-5 sentences for each speaker/panelist.

9. Preferred Pronouns.

10. Do you need a moderator/facilitator? The role of moderators or facilitators is to introduce the speaker(s), take notes, monitors time, assist with Q&A and guide any aspects of the presentation that would benefit from an additional support person.
