In this journey, the experience of living in a different cultural and school environments might have brought you challenges like cultural shock, stress,Ā adjustment to a new lifestyle,Ā homesickness, language barrier, and so on. However, many people also experience excitements when exploring new places, freedom, learning new knowledge and important aspects about themselves!Ā 

In this group,Ā with a focus of support, exploration, and development,Ā we will be talking about your journey at NCKU, share your challenges, confusions, feelings, or any changes and growth in your experience.Ā Together we hope to create a safe space for a sense of belonging and connections.

Here is some information about the group:

ā˜… This will be an open group.Ā Feel free to come once, twice, or even all the 4 times! The theme of each meeting will be primarily discussed by the participants at each time. Participants have opportunities to talk about the challenges they face, their school life at NCKU, their cross-cultural experiences, their own values and traditions, or knowledge and expertises to support each other.Ā 

ā˜…We will meet two Thursday evenings in March and April (3/16, 3/23, & 4/13, 4/20) form 6:30 - 8:00 pm, with 4 meetings in total.Ā 

ā˜…Registration required. Please register 2 days before each group you wish to attend.Ā The maximum participants of each group is 8, first come, first served. However, the meeting will only take place when we have a minimum of 3 participants. After you register, you will get an emailĀ 2 days prior to the meetingĀ notifying you whether the meeting will take place.
