Georgia Boys State 2026 Request to Attend
This form is intended to be completed by the student attending Georgia Boys State 2026. In order to fill out this form, the student will need to provide their personal email address, NOT a school email address. Students will be responsible for checking their inbox for updates from the Boys State Admin office. If the student does not have a personal email address and a Google account, they will need to create one to fill out this form. This form can only be submitted once, but a copy of your response will be emailed to you upon completion of this form for review.

If you have already submitted the Request to Attend, you can access the Permission Form from one of two places:
  • From the message that appears when attempting to submit another form. If you complete this Request to Attend, simply go back to the Georgia Boys State website and click on the link that took you to this form. You will find the Permission Form there.
  • From the copy of your response to the Request to Attend that will automatically be emailed to you upon completion of this form
Georgia Boys State Information
Please note the following information about the 2026 session of Georgia Boys State for future reference:
  • Location: Valdosta State University
  • Georgia Boys State 2026 dates: Sunday, June 7th - Saturday, June 13th
  • This document and Permission Form should be submitted no later than May 15, 2026

To participate in Georgia Boys State 2026, you must fulfill all of the following requirements:
  • Will complete 11th grade/Junior year by June 2026
  • Have at least 1 semester left in senior year following June 2026
  • Have a GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Submit a completed Request to Attend (this Google Form)
  • Get a Permission Form filled out by a parent/guardian and American Legion post member, which will be available for download off of the Boys State website and must be printed. Your sponsoring post will collect the Permission Form from you and mail it to the Georgia Boys State Admin office.
If you do not meet any of these requirements, you will not be able to attend Georgia Boys State 2026.

  • The American Legion or our other sponsor(s) will have paid the fee for my attendance. This is a non-refundable fee.
  • To satisfactorily complete the program, I must arrive before 2 PM on Sunday and stay until graduation on Saturday. Unless prior approval is given by the director for late arrival or early departure. 
  • By my signature, I give the American Legion Department of Georgia and the Georgia Boys State Program, Inc. Permission to use any photographs or other multimedia record taken of me at the Georgia Boys State.
  • I agree to abide by all rules, regulations and guidelines of the American Legion Georgia Boys State Program. I understand that if I should fail to abide by the rules, regulations and guidelines that my participation shall be terminated and my immediate departure from the program be required.

  • The Preamble to the Constitution and By Laws of The American Legion pledges that "For God and Country" we shall associate ourselves together "to foster and perpetuate a 100 percent Americanism". The American Legion expects participants of all its programs to show proper respect to the Flag of the United States, at all times, including the National Anthem.
