APAN 2019 will explore where and how public art can change, be reconsidered, refocused and reconstituted. By exploring current issues, we’ll examine the relationship between public art and our contemporary context, public art’s responsiveness and importance to our everyday lives.

Registration includes: Friday mix & mingle, all Saturday & Sunday sessions, Saturday public art tour, tour of Medalta Clay Industries, snacks, lunches and Saturday dinner & keynote speaker.

Session Registration
Sessions will cover a breadth of topics from logistics to big ideas, with the aim to inspire and challenge us to re-think assumptions and expectations. On both Saturday and Sunday you have the option to choose between two breakout sessions. The Logistics Sessions are about the basics of process, acknowledging some municipalities and organizations are at different stages in working with artists and developing public art programs. The Big Picture Sessions focus on ideas relevant in the field of public art and will consider concepts, challenges and practices in a broad way.
