Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, more than 3.7 million people have been internally displaced (as of January 2024), and over 6.3 million refugees from Ukraine are registered worldwide (as of January 2024) according to the UN.
In Israel, there are approximately 14,000 Ukrainian refugees (as of August 2023), scattered throughout the country.
After the attack on October 7th, most Ukrainian refugees living in Israel became refugees for the second time, as they were evacuated from both the southern and northern regions of Israel.
In the "Refugees Again" project, we will share the human stories of Ukrainian refugees who have been resettled throughout Israel.
In the "Refugees Again" project, we will document 20 human stories of Ukrainian refugees and new repatriates experiencing war for the second time.
