Survey of psychologists' blogging practices
You are invited to take part in a research study, please read the following information to help you decide whether or not to participate.

The purpose of this study is to find out about psychologists experiences of blogging. We are seeking psychologists at any stage in their career (including students) to find out their views. You are free to withdraw from participation at any time, simply close your browser before submitting and your data will not be recorded. If you are a student studying psychology at Oxford Brookes University your participation in this study will not impact on your ongoing grades or assessment.

What does participation involve?

Participation involves completing a questionnaire about your views and experiences of blogging. There are three sections and this should take you no more than 15 minutes. In addition we plan to undertake some content analysis of blogs and you will be asked if you would additionally consent to this by supplying your blog URL at the end of the questionnaire.

What will happen to the findings of this study?

Your data will be kept strictly confidential and securely stored, identified with only a number, rather than a name. It will not be possible to link any set of data with any individual. All information collected will be retained for a period of 10 years in accordance with the University’s policy on Academic Integrity. The results of the study will contribute to our understanding of psychologists’ blogging experiences

This study is being organised by representatives of the Psychology Postgraduate Affairs Group (PsyPAG, http://www.psypag.co.uk), a national organisation for psychology postgraduates based at UK institutions.

This study has been approved by the University Research Ethics Committee of Oxford Brookes University (registration number 130744). If you have any concerns about the conduct of the research please contact the Chair of the University Research Ethics Committee at ethics@brookes.ac.uk.
