Carbon credit retirement

When a carbon credit acquired from EcoTree has fulfilled its compensatory effect, it must be retired. This retirement is recorded in EcoTree's registries.

To ensure the uniqueness of carbon credits and prevent any risk of double counting, EcoTree considers all acquired credits as automatically consumed (and thereby retired) in the year of their acquisition. If this is not the case, it is the responsibility of the buyer to inform EcoTree via the designated form below.
