The Department of Homeland Security is due to release its decision on whether to continue Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for El Salvador by January 8, 2018. This decision will affect nearly 200,000 Salvadoran TPS holders, their children, their families here and abroad, their employers, and their communities. Most Salvadoran TPS holders have been living in the U.S. for two decades and are well-rooted in our communities. They are the parents of 192,700 U.S. citizen children,  have high rates of participation in the U.S. workforce and home ownership, and contribute positively to our communities.

This letter calls on the Department of Homeland Security to extend life-saving TPS for El Salvador by 18 months. Faith leaders of all faith traditions are welcome to sign-on. This sign-on letter is for faith-based leaders only. We are not collecting organizational sign-on through this opportunity. To view the sign-on letter, visit the following link: goo.gl/EERD4t
