Climate Resilient Design Standards and Guidelines
The Boston Public Works Department has prepared Climate Resilient Design Standards and Guidelines to protect the streets and sidewalks from flooding due to sea level rise (SLR) and storm surge.  The guidelines provide design parameters for flood barriers based on climate predictions and a process for evaluating what flood barriers are appropriate for different sites.  The guidelines provide four sample barrier types and sample sites within the city to provide  real-world context for designing flood protection.
