Readers Respond: Dorm Intrusions
Four intruders have evaded security at NYU dorms in the last two weeks, most recently at Lafayette Hall on Sunday, Nov. 20. Last week, a man walked in on a student sleeping in her bedroom.

WSN would like to hear from you about what you think NYU can do to up its security. Selected responses will be published in our opinion section later this week. Any member of the NYU community can participate, including students living on and off campus, parents and families, and university employees.

Respond to one or more of the questions below.
  1. What do you think of the four recent incidents in which an intruder was able to gain access to NYU residence halls?
  2. Have you personally come into contact with an intruder?
  3. Do you think this reflects a broader issue with the university’s approach to student security? Or do you think it’s just a byproduct of living in New York City?
  4. What do you think the university should do in response?
