This is an anonymous survey of cat owners about cat non-responses to catnip and other cat stimulating plants (including valerian, silvervine, and Tatarian honeysuckle), and international differences in the non-response rates. East Asian & Australian cat owners are particularly encouraged to respond. Do not take this survey if you have never used catnip or other cat stimulants on a cat.

This survey should take <10 minutes (more if you have >1 cats).

To encourage participation, I am offering as prizes 3 $50 Amazon gift cards. This survey will run until 31 December 2016, at which point the prizes will be awarded.
 
Not all cats respond to catnip. Currently, scientific studies suggest ~62% of cats respond, but the estimate is fuzzy, and there is no little information on what determines the catnip response (breed, fur color, country, sex?) other than age. There may be cross-country differences. And there is even less data on how many cats respond to the alternatives to catnip, valerian/silvervine/honeysuckle/cat-thyme, and so what plants a catnip-immune cat might enjoy. The purpose of this survey is to ask a large international group of cat owners about catnip/valerian/silvervine/honeysuckle responses in their cats. For background, see http://www.gwern.net/Catnip
