Half-Day Preschool Application
Our Preschool is an inclusion program which means there are students who qualify for special education services and peer models learning together. The classrooms have high student-to-teacher ratios with usually about 14 students.

Peer model spots are limited and priority placement is given to students of staff members and students currently enrolled in the program and continuing for a second year.  Placements are made on a space-available basis. 

If there are more applications than spots available, lotteries will be held on March 1, 2024 and March 29, 2024. After March 31st, rolling placement in the program will be made on a space-available basis.

I understand that the Bainbridge Island School District Half-Day Developmental Preschool Program is a tuition-based early childhood program option for typically developing students.  I understand that my child’s participation in the half-day program requires payment of tuition at the rates established by the district. Full tuition rate for 2024-2025: $3,400/year (or $340/month); 50% tuition rate: $1,700/year (or $170.00)/month); 25% tuition rate: $850/year (or $85/month).  The 50% and 25% tuition rates are only available by meeting the criteria for a scholarship and only a limited number of scholarships are available.  Eligibility is determined using guidelines that are similar to those set for the federally-funded free and reduced price lunch program.
