Thank you for taking the time to answer these questions. Your answers will be treated as STRICTLY CONFIDENTIAL and will only be used by the Department of Education & Early Development and the FNSBSD for educational funding and planning purposes. Parents are encouraged to enroll their children even if they choose not to use Migrant Education Program services. Only one form per household is required.
Migrant Education Overview
Title I federal funds are given to schools that have a high poverty rate among the families in attendance. These funds are used to ensure that all children have an equal and significant opportunity to obtain a high-quality education and reach, at the minimum, proficiency on challenging state academic achievement standards and state academic assessments.

The Migrant Education Program is a Title I supplemental program designed to meet the unique needs of students whose seasonal relocations may disrupt their educational opportunities. A migrant eligible child is one who has traveled with his/her family within the past three years to conduct subsistence/commercial activities.

The Migrant Education Program provides support services to qualifying students and their families. Below is a list of some services available to qualifying students:

-Tutoring for middle and high school students in need of additional academic support.
-Back to School supplies and resources
-Family Nights
-Summer Enrichment Scholarships to attend educational summer camps or summer programs offered by the school district.
-Academic enrichment activities during the school year as needed.
-Eligibility for district's free lunch program

By filling out this online questionnaire we will be able to determine whether or not one or more of your children qualify for the Migrant Education Program. Once completed a Migrant recruiter will contact you to follow up on your eligibility. Thank you for taking the time to complete this 5 minute questionnaire!
