Term 4 - Alert Level 3 Registration Form
We know the safest place for our students is to stay at home in their bubble and to continue with home learning.  It is important to stress that, if children can safely stay at home they should do so.

Please note that parents are not free to choose whether they send their child back to school.
If you are unable to work from home and have no one to care for your child/ren you are able to register your child/ren to attend school. Please check the Alert Level-3 Essential Workers Flowchart if you are unsure.
You are required to fill out this form each lockdown as changes may occur.
If your child/ren will not attend every day please let us know which days in the comments section.

Returning students on 18th October who have had their place confirmed by the school can enter the school through the main gate.

School drop off:
The only entry and exit will be through the main car park gate. All children will be dropped off in this car park, this gate will be open from 8.15am to 9.00am only.

Parents who are dropping off children by car, must stay in their car at all times. Children will be escorted by staff at the gate to their assigned classes. If you are walking your child to school you must wait at the main gate for a staff member. Please do not enter the school grounds.

Alert Level 3 at New Lynn School *
Alert Level 3 Learning at New Lynn School • Children will complete the same work with a staff member in a small group of 10 • Children will complete work much the same as they would have while in Level 4 at home • Social distancing will be maintained at all times for students and staff • Students will be placed into either a whanau/family learning group or a syndicate learning group. This is to reduce the number of possible contacts which is a requirement. • Your children will be supported by teachers who are available to support their learning. • Each Learning Group will have two staff members assigned to it. • It is important to also recognise that the staff member supervising your child during Alert Level 3, will most likely not be their normal teacher. • Break times for classes will be staggered and children will not play or eat together. • A physical distance of 1m between students/adults will be observed while in class, children are required to sit in one place each day • A physical distance of 2m between students/adults will be observed while outside • Contact tracing spreadsheets have been developed for each Learning Group. These will be completed daily and detail the number of student & adult contacts. • All contact surfaces will be cleaned throughout the day and thoroughly after school. • No parents will access the school buildings – there will be staff assisting with the drop off/pick up at assigned times to maintain social distancing as required by the Ministry of Education • There will be no After School Care programme • Communication regarding start times and lists of class groups with the assigned teacher/teacher aide will be communicated directly to those families who are returning to New Lynn School.
