Let's Ride! Yadkin Valley Regional Bike Plan
Join us on the Salem Creek Trail for a relaxed-pace bike ride, designed for all ages and abilities.

You are invited to join a bicycle ride through scenic and commercial areas of Winston-Salem. On this ride, you will experience how a community can provide key connectors that allow residents to use bicycles as a form of transportation, to improve health, and to encourage tourism by bicycle.

The ride will include several Winston-Salem greenways (closed to automobiles) and some city streets. Several ProdecoTech eBikes and Zagster bike share bikes will be available. Riders can bring their own bikes. Along the route, riders will see the Community Connector project that is now underway and stop for coffee and a snack. At several spots riders will learn more about the Yadkin Valley Regional Bike Plan, what drives bicycle tourism and how to seek NCDOT grants to help fund bicycle infrastructure.

This ride is being offered as a part of the planning process of the Yadkin Valley Regional Bike Plan. This regional comprehensive bicycle transportation plan is funded by a grant from the North Carolina Department of Transportation Division of Bicycle and Pedestrian Transportation to the Piedmont Triad Regional Council (PTRC).

The Yadkin Valley Regional Bicycle Plan covers Surry, Stokes, Yadkin, Forsyth, and Davie counties as well as parts of Iredell County.
