Hi, thanks for choosing Shockwaves Paddle and First Aid for your adventure. In order to make sure we have a fun and safe experience, we need a bit of paperwork completed prior to meeting at our launch site. We will discuss any concerns you have before we leave so you feel comfortable and secure. Our goal is to make your adventure worry free so you can focus on making memories that will last a life time. We strive to exceed your expectations and gain your trust. 1-Kayaking includes certain risks including but not limited to minor injuries such as cuts/scrapes/bruises/musculoskeletal injuries, exposure injuries such as hypothermia, heat related injury and allergic reactions. The activity also involves participation on the water which brings risk of drowning or drowning related injury. In consideration to participate in the activity of kayak day trip, clinic or course, I assume all risks and and release and hold harmless Shockwaves Paddle and First Aid, its  Instructor-Trainers and their officers, directors, employees, representatives, agents, volunteers, premises, sub contractors and vessels from any legal or equitable claims, demands, debts, law suits or causes of action that I, my estate, heirs, survivors, executors, or assigns may have had in the past, have now or may have in the future for any and all injury, disability, death, loss or damage to person or property, howsoever caused, including but not limited to the risks described in this Agreement, or by negligence, gross negligence, breach of contract or breach of any duty imposed by the common law or statute. By indicating "I agree" below, this means that you waive your right take legal action in the event of an incident. *

2-Kayaking and paddling takes a certain amount of physical fitness to perform and I feel that I am able to participate in the selected activity. Activity may include lifting, stretching, paddling for extended periods in a seated position and exposure to the elements. *
3-Medical or physical conditions may limit my ability to participate in the activity, or participation may exacerbate a condition such as allergy, muscle/back issues, cardiac issues, seizure. I agree to disclose any such issues to the guide in private before the activity begins including any emergency medications that I may be on such as an epi pen. *
4-Photos or video may be taken during the activity and may be used by Shockwaves Paddle and First Aid for marketing purposes in print, electronic or social media. *

5-Shockwaves Paddle and First Aid maintains a Respect policy and behavior considered hostile, harassing, or discriminatory toward anyone involved in the activity or encountered during the activity will not be tolerated. This includes unapproved use of photos or video by guests taken of other guests. Such behaviors will be addressed immediately but if continued, the activity may be terminated. *
6-My current health plays an important role in keeping myself and others healthy and safe during the activity. I will report my current health status including any new or recent cough, fever or other flu like symptoms in the past 72 hours. Illness may result in me or my group's exemption from participation in the activity. I will also notify Shockwaves Paddle and First Aid if I begin to feel any flu like symptoms within 72 hours of participating in my adventure. *
7-Personal flotation devices are the most effective means of preventing drowning or drowning related illness. PDFs provided by Shockwaves Paddle and First Aid must be worn during the activity while in the boats. *
8-There is a risk of capsizing while participating in the activity, however I am comfortable swimming up to 50 m/150 ft while wearing a PFD. *

10-If I do not arrive for the planned activity, no refund will be provided unless notification has been provided at least 24 hours in advance. Shockwaves Paddle and First Aid reserves the right to cancel any activity without notice or due to weather/safety issues for which a full refund will be provided. *
11-Weather can be unpredictable and play a big role in how much fun we have. It's important that I have proper clothing, footwear and sun protection for the weather forecast on the day of the adventure. *
