LIVEWELL Fest takes place after the 11th Annual Tour de Jefferson Bike Ride in Lafreniere Park. The festival will be open to riders as well as the public, and will be held in the Al Copeland Concert Meadow from 10:00am to 3:00pm. We conservatively estimate that 1,000+ guests will attend. Proceeds from this event will go towards Jefferson Chamber’s efforts in public policy, advocacy and quality of life initiatives. A portion of the proceeds will also benefit the American Heart Association.
More About Tour de Jefferson & The Jefferson Chamber’s Healthcare CouncilTour de Jefferson is the largest community event organized by the Jefferson Chamber of Commerce. Since its inception in 2006, Tour de Jefferson has become one of the premier cycling events in the region, bringing riders from around the country to Jefferson Parish each year. The goal of this family-friendly biking adventure is to continually enhance the awareness of quality-of-life amenities, recreational venues, and the Bicycle Master Plan in Jefferson Parish. This will be the first year that Tour de Jefferson will be held on the East Bank of Jefferson Parish. The ride will start and end in Lafreniere Park and will offer riders 42, 28, and 13 mile routes to choose from.
The Jefferson Chamber’s Health & Wellness Council was formed in early 2017 as a new initiative focused on educating businesses on the benefits of a healthier workforce and encouraging healthier lifestyles in Jefferson Parish. The LIVEWELL Jefferson campaign is focused on delivering and communicating healthy lifestyle choices to the community.
