ENGLISH TEACHERS: Writing Assessment Survey
In conjunction with my participation in a National Writing Project Institute this past summer (www.pawlp.org), I've been spending a great deal of time recently reflecting on how I assess writing.  I'm currently taking a follow-up teacher inquiry research course this fall which has me engaged in thinking about how assessment and feedback can be used to better engage students in their writing process.  How do teachers assess writing? What do students learn from assessment?  As part of my research, I am surveying secondary English teachers about how they assess their students' writing. I'm hoping to learn from my fellow teachers what works when teaching writing.  I would appreciate it if you could take a few minutes to respond to the questions below.
