The right to safe, legal abortion is at risk in our country. With Brett Kavanaugh on the Supreme Court, we cannot rely on the protections of Roe v. Wade much longer. Additionally, our current laws have created unnecessary and sometimes insurmountable barriers to abortion for young people, people in need of abortion later in pregnancy, and uninsured people with low incomes. Not only that, inflammatory state laws and definitions that remain on our books could chip away at abortion access if federal protections fall. The ROE Act will help people access safe, legal abortion by removing unnecessary, burdensome, and unjust provisions that delay and deny care.
