The Girls Inc. of Columbus & Phenix-Russell Volunteer Program requires under Georgia Law O.C.G.A. 35-3-34.2 that volunteers who may have unsupervised access to children will submit to a fingerprint screening which includes a query through the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) of their criminal history.
For individuals that lived outside of Georgia within the last five years, you must obtain criminal history and child abuse registry information from each of those states: http://www.decal.ga.gov/CCS/CriminalRecordsCheck_StateContacts.aspx 
The Girls Inc. of Columbus & Phenix-Russell Volunteer Program requires that you complete a 2hr Mandated Reporter Training per the Mandated Reporter Law - O.C.G.A. §19-7-5:
The online training is available for free any time or day. It includes courses that provide instruction on how to better recognize the indicators of abuse and neglect, understand your role in responsible reporting, and identify the groups of children that may be at a higher risk of being abused or neglected.
