Innovation Incubator Application: Boston Public Schools Fall 2018 Cohort
BPS Innovation is excited to announce the BPS Innovation Incubator, an expansion of our school redesign opportunities. In collaboration with School Retool, a professional learning fellowship from IDEO and the Stanford d. school, the BPS Innovation Incubator will help teams (school leaders + educators) redesign school culture using small-scale experiments.

We are seeking teams of leaders, innovators, creators, and designers who want to change the status quo of public education, are passionate about access to Deeper Learning for all students, are willing and ready to try out a new, immersive learning experience, and are committed to fully participating in the work of the fellowship.

The School Retool Fellowship is a $5000 scholarship program funded by the Nellie Mae Foundation.

Teams of 3 must include the school principal or headmaster, another member of the school's leadership team (Director of Operations, Instructional Lead, etc.), and an educator.

Team must submit applications to the fellowship, committing to engagement in:
- 4 full-day School Retool workshops.
1. Wednesday, September 19, 2018
2. Wednesday, October 10, 2018
3. Wednesday, November 7, 2018
4. Wednesday, November 28, 2018
- 1 full-day to shadow a student in your school between September 19, 2018 and October 10, 2018
- Approximately 1-4 hours per week of other School Retool activities, hacks, and coaching between workshops

If you would like to draft your team's answers to the questions before including them in your application, you can make a copy of this Google Doc to do so. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1_B3pHZQl8Mk7r7r-rxXfqG5YSOeJUOAyZBjT7HVCBGc/copy

Applications are due by Friday, June 1st and are reviewed on a rolling basis, so if you're interested, apply as soon as possible.

If you have any questions, email kgoff@bostonpublicschools.org or schoolretool@dschool.stanford.edu.
