Friends of Music Hall 2026 Student Silent Film Contest

About the Contest

The Friends of Music Hall Student Silent Film Contest invites students in grades 7–12 to step into the world of early cinema and create an original silent film that captures story, emotion, and imagination—without recorded dialogue.

This contest celebrates the artistry of silent film storytelling and gives young filmmakers the opportunity to have their work recognized by local filmmakers and critics, and screened in a historic venue connected to Cincinnati’s performing arts legacy.
