Thank you for your interest in applying for The Hungry Hatch Food Truck! Working on a food truck is a blast! You will go to different places every day, meet new people, and experience different events. If you are adventurous, like working with food, and serving others you would be a good fit for a food truck! No experience necessary, we'll train! Currently we are looking for reliable, fun employees to join our team from April through the end of November! The pay is $10-12/hr + tips
Must be on your feet for long periods of time.
Must be able to work in "outdoor" conditions. (There is no air conditioning or heat on the truck.)
Professional and friendly. (Even in tough situations)
Effective communication skills with guests and staff.
Basic math skills.
Dependable & punctual.
Desire to serve others.
Flexible and adaptable.
Must have or be willing to get Current Food Handler's Card.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS
Greet customers as they approach the truck.
Explain how various menu items are prepared, describing ingredients and/or cooking methods.
Inform customers of daily specials.
Take beverage and food orders.
Prepare checks that itemize and total meal costs and sales taxes. (manual tickets or electronic POS systems)
Prepare food for orders which may include working at a grill. (but don't worry as our prep is a piece of cake!)
Serve food and/or beverages to customers.
Stock service window area with supplies such as utensils, bags, condiments, to-go containers.
Keep working area clean.
After events, will clean truck, restock, and wash dishes.
I am able to perform these duties and will get my food handler's card.
I am able to perform these duties and I already have my food handler's card.
