This application should take about 20 minutes to fill out for new volunteers (less for returning volunteers), and it is recommended to fill out on a computer rather than a phone. There is a lot of information in the application, so please be prepared to take some time to read carefully through everything.
All questions below are for both new and returning volunteers, unless otherwise indicated.
2018 Summer Camp Dates:Jumpstart: July 15th - July 20thGirls Rock! Camp Session 1: July 29th - August 4th Girls Rock! Camp Session 2: August 12th - August 18th *Camp dates include mandatory orientation sessions on the Sunday before each camp session.
All camps this year will be held at Cathedral High School, at 56th Street and 1st Avenue in Manhattan.
Note: We will be holding Ladies Rock Camp in the Fall this year, and are not yet taking volunteer applications for that camp, but there is a note in this application where you can express your interest in being contacted when we have the dates for that camp set.
While it’s true that we can use all the help we can get, we have a limited number of spaces for certain positions, like workshop leader, band coach, and instrument instructor. Creating a multi-racial group of volunteers that reflects New York City communities and our camper-base is a camp priority. Volunteer positions are not filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
