Permit Policies
Because the GTM Research Reserve is a sensitive, natural area, there are certain restrictions you must consider before deciding to use our grounds. The restrictions, which are outlined below, are primarily designed to prevent negative impacts to the Reserve’s natural resources and to the general public.

The Reserve is open to the general public from 8:00 a.m. until sundown.
Dates are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. The reservation is not confirmed until payment is received.

Set-up is not allowed the day before; all items must be removed at the end of the event.

The event may not negatively impact Reserve resources or interfere with visitor use. Please stay on the trails and off the dunes. Absolutely no people or event-related items should be off trails for any reason. Please park only in the designated parking areas. Parking on the grass is prohibited. Overflow parking is available in the Environmental Education Center parking lot located at 505 Guana River Road, Ponte Vedra Beach.

Please inform those attending the wedding event that the Reserve entrance fee is $3.00 per vehicle. The entrance/parking fee is not included in the Beach Wedding Permit Fee. Parking spaces are limited so it is a good idea to encourage carpooling.

Event set-up and clean-up is the responsibility of your group.

Permittee cannot rely on GTM staff to help load or transport any equipment before or during the event.

Please dispose of all litter in the trash receptacles. It is the event’s responsibility to have the designated area cleared and cleaned at the end of the event.

An additional fee will be charged if remnants from the event are left at the area(s) of the activity.

Permittee is responsible for supervising his or her guests.

Digging in the dunes, for any reason, is prohibited.

No alcohol is allowed.

Only natural decorations are allowed (absolutely no fake flowers). Tossing of rice and/or confetti is prohibited. Balloons and Grills of any kind are prohibited.

Note: There may be additional fees charged and you may be required to provide proof of liability insurance.

By checking the "Agree" box you certify that you have read, understand, and agree to these policies, and that all of the information given is complete and correct.
