MASS MEETING- Take action to end our rent burden and win a strong contract!

The vast majority of the 48,000 Academic Student Employees, Postdocs, Academic Researchers, and Student Researchers across UC are rent burdened. Meanwhile, UC has refused to prioritize basic needs of its workers and students, and has repeatedly broken the law in bargaining with us. We must unite in a common struggle for an equitable university where everyone can thrive.

Are we going to go on strike to get what we deserve? Let's have a conversation about it. What we do over the next few weeks will decide our working conditions for years to come. Join us and take actions!

All UAW Academic Workers at Davis are gathering on campus on Oct 13th, 5:00pm at North Quad (by MU) for a MASS MEMBERSHIP MEETING to discuss calling a strike vote if necessary to escalate the campaign for a fair contract.

Living Wages and Cost of Living Adjustments ($54k ASE/SR, $70k Postdoc salary, 14% AR raise)

Fighting climate change with sustainable transit subsidies

Protections from workplace harassment, discrimination, and bullying

Supporting working parents and caregivers with improved childcare and dependent healthcare coverage

Improving job security for all academic workers with year-round and multi-year appointments

Supporting international scholars with full remission of visa fees and non-resident tuition

Fighting for disability justice with accessible technology and a faster process to address workers' access needs
