Science of Reading (SoR) Specialized Training Designation on Teacher Certification for LETRS Mastery Educators

Please complete the following form to request that LETRS training is included on your teacher certification documentation. Please remember that you must have achieved "Mastery" by scoring 80% or above on each of the Units 1-4 posttest and Units 5-8 posttest for the LETRS Elementary course or on the final posttest for the LETRS Early Childhood course. 

  • Before completing this form, please check the teacher certification portal to make sure that this designation is not already on your certificate details by using this link:  https://tcert.alsde.edu/Portal/Public/Pages/SearchCerts.aspx . 
  • Please do not apply for this designation if you have already applied in the past UNLESS it is for a different course.
  • Please check your LETRS account before submitting this request to verify that "Mastery" has been achieved by scoring 80% or above on the Units 1-4 posttest and Units 5-8 posttest for the LETRS Elementary course or on the final posttest for the LETRS Early Childhood course. A score of less than 80% is not "Mastery".
