Register here as a vendor for the 2024 SHBE Convention. Use this form to request booths, services, and advertising.  You will receive an emailed copy of this form after submitting.

Payment for your requested options is made from our website, here, where you will select the options that match this form before being redirected to our payment processor.

EXHIBIT SPACE SELECTION
How many exhibitor booths would you like? *
Each booth is an 10'x10' Exhibitor booth with a table and chair (information exhibitors may receive 8x8 booths). Placement will be determined by the SHBE Vendor Coordinator.

If you will not be attending and only wish to advertise or provide a door prize, etc., you may select "0".

Do you require electricity? *
The venue charges $25 for an electricity drop. Price is for one 15 amp outlet.

Please be sure to bring your own extension cords and power bars for use within your booth area.
Extra Tables *
If you think your anticipated exhibit space would allow you to use more than one table per space, extra tables are available for $25 purchase. Extra tables will be 6’ or 8’ long by 30" wide and will have floor length linen skirting. You may cover your table(s) with another covering. You may also choose to bring your own table, but all tables must be skirted or draped to the floor on all sides in a heavy draping fabric.

ADVERTISING AND PROMOTIONS
The following options are available for advertising and promoting your organization. Please select all that apply.

All prospective advertising copy should be sent as .jpg or .png attachment to journal@shbe.ca by JANUARY 10.
SHBE Online Advertising

Advertising on the SHBE Website will be as "Friends of SHBE". You will be able to provide a logo or advertisement including up to 300 words, that will be on "Friends of SHBE" for one year, and will be shared on social media.
SHBE Journal Advertising

The SHBE Journal is SHBE's official publication, and our regular communication with our members. It is published at least four times per year, or more frequently. The issue immediately prior to convention will be sent in January.

Please type in the number of issues you would like to advertise in.  If you do not wish to advertise in any Journal issues, you may type in "0".

Convention Program Advertising *

Each registered family will receive a convention program and you can submit print advertising to include in the program. Please submit your ad copy as a PNG or JPEG file. Send by email to journal@shbe.ca by January 10.

Door Prize

We invite you to contribute door prizes to the convention that will be awarded on site during the weekend.  A list of door prize donors will be printed in the convention program if we are notified by January 10. Please bring the item(s) to the convention.

Providing a door prize is free. Door prizes will be announced from the front to provide maximum exposure.

If applicable, please describe the door prize you will provide and an approximate value (for promotional purposes).

Convention Bags
Promotional material such as catalogues, pens, rulers, magnets, etc. can be distributed to convention delegates in their registration packages (approx. 300 packages).

Shipping costs are over and above and are the responsibility of the exhibitor. Leftover materials will become the property of SHBE.

If you have general-interest seminars that are not promotional in nature, and would like to offer to speak in one of the sessions, please provide a description here.

If your application is accepted, the SHBE workshop coordinator will contact you for more details and a short bio for the convention program.
Terms and Conditions, Waiver of Liability
All vendors must acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions.
SHBE Mission and Goals

The purpose of SHBE is to provide information and assistance to any and all Home-Based Educators in Saskatchewan, to represent and advocate for all SHBE members, to promote home based education in Saskatchewan, to foster a positive homeschool community, and to establish a positive political and social environment for Saskatchewan Home-Based Educators.

SHBE supports the rights of children to receive a parent-directed home-based education, including parents’ rights to determine methodology, content, delivery, and assessment, with the lowest possible government regulation, policy restriction, monitoring, reporting, and unsolicited involvement.

A Note about Full-Time, School-Directed Programs

SHBE advocates for and supports parents who choose parent-directed, home-based education.

Vendors operating full-time, school-directed programs, whether provincially-aligned or independent, may attend the convention as vendors only by invitation of the SHBE Board of Directors. SHBE values parental-choice in education and is committed to expanding parental choice in education, including the expansion of options available to parents beyond the traditional public/separate/independent school options.

School Divisions, education leaders, executives, administrators, and primary or secondary educators wishing to learn more about parent-directed home-based education and potential ways in which their existing programs may benefit home-based educators are welcome to contact the SHBE Board of Directors to set up a meeting.

Do you agree to the following Terms and Conditions? *
  1. All advertising must be supportive of the SHBE mission and goals.
  2. No advertising should undermine confidence or exploit insecurities of parents or students in their ability to teach or learn in the home.
  3. No Advertising should promote increased government supervision or monitoring of home based education in Saskatchewan or any other jurisdiction.
  4. Advertising that links to material that is contrary to any of the above guidelines should be avoided, and may result in the advertisement being removed
  5. Where space is limited or prioritization is required, the following groups of Preferences and Considerations will be used:
    1. Curriculum and Learning Resources & Services
    2. Vocational Training and Post-Secondary Institutions
    3. Employment Services or Employment Opportunities (Camps, Summer Jobs, etc)
    4. Homeschool clubs and associations run by and for homeschoolers
    5. Community Clubs, Service Groups, Volunteer Opportunities, Special Interest Groups

    • Preference and Consideration may be given to vendors and organizations based in Saskatchewan
    • Preference and Consideration may be given to vendors and organizations who have advertised and/or attended conventions in previous years.
    • Preference and Consideration may be given to vendors with referrals from Saskatchewan homeschool support groups or other provincial home-based education organizations.
Required
Do you agree to our Waiver of Liability? *
This waiver of liability is between Saskatchewan Home-Based Educators, Inc (SHBE) and you, the vendor attending the 2023 SHBE Convention at Queensbury Convention Centre at Evraz Place, Regina, Saskatchewan.

SHBE, its principals, directors and members are hereby released from any liability for damages caused by Acts of God, electrical disruption or any other unforeseen situations that may arise from circumstances not directly or indirectly under their control. Further, it is understood that insurance for fire, theft or other liability is the responsibility of the Vendor.

By signing, I agree to be responsible for property damages such as floor coverings and draping materials caused by negligence or breach of contract.

Refunds Policy

No refunds for advertising will be made after related deadline date. If Ad copy or material is not received by the related deadline, payment will be forfeited and no refund will be issued.
